Breathtaking Experience at Mount Cook

The place was amazing! Mount Cook was fully covered with snow and at that time it was also snowing. We were able to take lots of pictures to keep for memories. For the heli and plane rides however, unfortunately, we were told that these would be cancelled because of the weather. Although we were not able to experience the flying part, I still rate this 5 stars since the weather was definitely not under the organizers' control. Besides, the price for the plane and helicopter rides were refunded immediately and I truly appreciated this. I also liked it that they were prioritizing their customers' safety above all else. Our driver/guide Lynette was also very kind, patient and had full of stories to tell during the entire trip. Thank you Tripadvisor and Cheeky Kiwi Travel for making this tour memorable. It is also wonderful that tours such as this one make it very convenient for us to visit such wonderful places!

Fabulous trip with helicopter, snow and ice

Helicopter trip to mountain cook is very fabulous! The scene is very beautiful. Snow and Ice attracts me. The guide is kind. I highly recommend Cheekykiwi.

5 Stars and a thumbs up!!!

Their website was so clear to call out the details of every trip and as a foreigner, i felt very comfortable. Booking was hassle free but i still had my doubts on how the trip would go. Right from the pick up on day 1, till the end of day 4 their tour guides across the South island trips were amazing. So friendly, very interactive, polite and hospitable. 1. 19th April CHC to Queenstown- Jess was out tour manager and driver. She was absolutely briming with energy and was a great start 2. 20th April Milford sound - Tommy was a cool tour manager and even helped us with few Photo clicks 3 21st April Queenstown to Franz Joseph - I forgot the gentleman's name. He was so kind enough to go and voluntarily check with restaurant manager when we wanted to know if what was served to us was absolutely Vegan 4. 22nd April Franz Joseph to Grey Mouth - Jonny was our tour manager who gave us lot of info about Māori culture and could not have been better to hear from him who has his proud ancestry into Māori lineage. Timely pickup, what was given in Itinerary as actually shown. Picnic lunch was provided at nice restaurants. A memorable trip with Cheeky Kiwi and Cheeky Kea. Miss you guys!!!

Best Experience in a Lifetime

One of the best experiences I’ll have in my life span. The weather was gorgeous and the plane and helicopter were just something out of this world. I’ll definitely coming back and doing it again. Too good!!

A most memorable and scenic adventure!

This was a wonderful tour! We had superb weather, which made the long scenic drive exceptionally beautiful. Our guide was excellent, giving us interesting stories and background information all the way. The options for different travellers at Mt. Cook were clearly explained and our guide was attentive and thoughtful as she dropped us off at the various sites, then collected us again afterwards. We chose the helicopter and ski-plane flight and this too was very efficiently organised and the pilots were welcoming and informative, as well as giving us a wonderful experience, soaring up onto the glacier. Although expensive, this was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for us and we loved the whole day.

Great experience

Absolutely great experience. I doubt there is a better way to see Mount Cook short of climbing it. Very helpful driver for the trip.

Fabulous glacier trip

Absolutely amazing. We started out a little worried that our flights would be cancelled due to the weather but the skies cleared just in time. We had truly spectacular views from the plane and landed right on the glacier. Took in all the amazing scenery before switching to the helicopter. Our return to the airport was just as exciting as the plane ride. A must when in NZ.

A most deserving trip with memories that we will cherish for many years to come.

A very memorable trip and exciting experience. A small coach bus made it relatively easy for all occupants to embark and disembark. The coach driver Lynetta was very motivated and enthustiastic about giving us a very positive experience. She looked after everyone's need very courteously and efficiently. On the way to Mt Cook, she stopped at all the right places and narrated the local history. Our helicopter flight and landing on the Tasman glacier was a highlight of the tour. Helicopter pilot Roger was very pleasant and gave appropriate commentry as we were flying. The return journey in a small plane offered relatively average viewing in comparison to the helicopter. Pilot Angus could have been more verbal and enthusiastic about the flight. It was very busy but food in the cafeteria was of high quality. Overall, a very positive visit and experience.
