Expect the unexpected in Waitomo, Hobbiton and beyond

Dave, our tour guide/driver, was excellent. He was knowledgeable, organized and considerate. His attention to the little details insured that everyone walked away with incredible photos that captured memorable moments. These will become priceless memories. Dave made sure we were hydrated and well informed throughout the visit. His organizational skills an ability to unite the tour group, created opportunities for us to experience much more than we expected. The glowworm caves at Waitomo we’re absolutely magical. Topping that off with visit to Hobbton made for a perfect first day visiting New Zealand. Both locations provided insights to the mysteries and magic these places hold. Also, the guides provided understanding and history pertaining to the discovery of the glowworm caves, and why they are a special to the Mauro people. I highly recommend this tour. Bonus points if you secure Dave, as your tour guide and driver, incredibly grateful to have had this experience.

Cheeky kiwi tours the best.

Absolutely the best tour I have ever been on. Our tour guide Dave was an absolute gentleman a very kind hearted soul Very professional and very knowledgeable about his culture and country. Dave is a true ambassador for the face of cheeky kiwi tours going above and beyond the call of duty taking photos for the group.

Magical and Memorable Day Trips

Went on 2 Cheeky Kiwi tours in 2 days - the Rotorura Maori Centre/Cultural Experience and the Hobbiton/Waitomo Caves. Both days were excellent and fantastic/memoral days out. Both the hosts (Hanoz and Mike) were friendly, efficient and welcoming. Water and small snacks were included, as well as lunch which was well organised. The busses were comfortable and had access to charge points. It was lovely getting to know fellow travellers and Hanoz and Mike helped to ease awkwardness and got people talking and feeling like a group, even for the few hours we were together. Everything was organised and communicated well, and suggestions were made to add/change activities to make the most of the day. Would certainly recommend and only wish I had more time to do more of their tours.
